Heat requirements

A radiator with insufficient output may never raise the temperature to that required. Outdoor temperatures, external walls, insulation, heated adjacent rooms (i.e. above, below and to the side) all play a part. Your boiler should be sufficient to supply all connected radiators to the sum of their maximum demand. Unsure about how big your radiator or towel rail needs to be? Go to BTU calculator for a quick guide or here for a selection of useful apps. Please be aware that these calculators are for guidance only. Please consult a qualified plumber or your installation team if you are unsure. For local plumbers go to Thompson local
